Louisiana Public Entity Bidding Procedure: A Lawsuit Victory
On August 1, 2023, Ted Laperouse and Jason Bonaventure went to trial for one of the firm’s clients in Terrebonne Parish over improper bidding procedures used by the Terrebonne Parish School Board. On August 21, 2023, the court ruled in favor of Laperouse Law, again confirming the well-settled law that “[W]hen a public entity elects to place certain requirements in its advertisements for bids and on its bid forms, that entity is bound by those requirements and may not choose to waive them at a later date.” For more information, a copy of the judgment rendered is attached below.
