Mary Eliza is originally from Fairhope, Alabama.

In 2017, Mary Eliza earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with minors in Biology and Chemistry, from Texas Christian University and graduated as an Honors Laureate from the TCU John V. Roach Honors College.

Mary Eliza received her J.D. degree and Diploma in Comparative Law from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

While in law school, Mary Eliza was a judicial extern at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana for Judge John W. deGravelles. She was also selected as an academic tutor for Obligations, served on the Executive Committee for the LSU Law Board of Advocates, and competed in numerous moot court and dispute resolution competition teams.

Mary Eliza served as Senior Managing Editor of the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources (JELR). Mary Eliza’s article entitled Plenty of Fish in the Sea: An analysis of the Fifth Circuit’s Refusal to Bite on Aquaculture in the Gulf was selected by her peers for publication.
