Erin Bagent was born in Houston, Texas and grew up outside of Atlanta, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia on a full academic scholarship and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance in 2016. In 2017, Erin decided to plant some roots in Louisiana where she attended Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center as a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and earned her Juris Doctor and a Degree in Comparative Law.

Erin was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in September 2020. Erin joined Laperouse Patin, LLC in 2025. Prior to joining the firm, she primarily practiced in insurance defense and personal injury litigation. Outside of work, Erin loves spending time with her daughter and dogs and is passionate about fitness. Erin enjoys giving back to the community through various pro bono services and volunteering with Lawyers in Libraries.

Erin is licensed in all Louisiana state courts and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
